Noir Kei Ninomiya Faux Fur Leather Vest
Noir Kei Ninomiya launched in 2012 under the Comme des Garçons group after Rei Kawakubo herself told Kei Ninomiya his work deserved its own name. Working exclusively in black, Ninomiya is known for rejecting conventional sewing in favour of architectural construction; garments built like structures rather than sewn like fabric.
This vest is a quiet demonstration of that philosophy. Faux fur and faux leather sit together not as an obvious contrast but as a considered one; softness and edge sharing the same silhouette. The open gilet cut means it drapes rather than confines, which is very much the point.
